Common questions

Do I need a signal on the course?

No. Everything lives on your phone rather than on a server, so the app opens and works in a dead spot at the far end of a course.

Do I have to make an account?

No. The app opens straight to your bag. Signing in is an option in Settings that turns on a backup of your numbers, not a gate you have to pass first.

How do I log my distances?

Tap Input, pick a club, pick a swing intensity, and type a few carry distances. After five shots at a club and swing, the app trusts that number and uses it in Course Mode. Before that it shows a clearly marked estimate.

How does Course Mode pick a club?

Type the yardage to the pin and the app returns the club and swing that match it, ranked, from the numbers you have logged rather than manufacturer averages.

Can I get my numbers out, or start over?

Any time. In Settings you can export everything as a spreadsheet or file, or erase all of it and start again. It is your data and it behaves like it.

Managing your data

ExportSettings has an export option that saves your whole distance database as a file you keep.
Delete your dataSettings also lets you erase everything on the device. If you turned on backup, the same screen deletes your account and its stored copy.
