Golf Distance Caddy

Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026

Your distances live on your phone. The app works with no account and no connection. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared, and there is no advertising or tracking of any kind.

What the app stores on your device

Everything you enter stays in your phone's local storage:

Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also export your shots to a file at any time from Settings.

If you turn on backup

Backup is optional and off unless you choose it. It exists so a lost or replaced phone does not cost you your database. If you turn it on, we store:

We use your phone number to send the one time code that signs you in. We do not send marketing texts through the app, and we do not use your number for anything else.

What we never do

Who can see your data

Only you. Backed up records are stored in a private database that is not readable by other users of the app. A small number of people who maintain the app can access the database when they have to keep it running or fix a problem you report.

Deleting your data

Delete the app and the on device copy is gone. If you used backup and want the stored copy removed as well, ask and it will be deleted, along with the phone number attached to it.

Children

The app is built for golfers keeping their own yardages and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
